How data management and privacy controls work in SpinStory
Zero Server Data Stored
SpinStory operates 100% on your device. We do not maintain user accounts, databases, or cloud storage for your photos. Your photos stay strictly on your phone and are never uploaded or shared with us.
1. Removing App Photos & Local Data
Since all photos and temporary renders are saved locally on your phone:
- In-App Storage Clearing: You can clear your app cache or saved preferences in your device's Settings menu under SpinStory.
- Deleting Exported Photos: Any photos you export to your phone gallery can be deleted directly from your device photo library.
- Uninstalling: Uninstalling SpinStory from your device completely removes all local app files, temporary renders, and local settings.
2. Resetting / Deleting Advertising ID (Google AdMob)
SpinStory displays ads using Google AdMob, which processes device Advertising IDs (GAID/IDFA) for ad personalization and analytics. You can reset or delete this identifier at any time through your device settings:
- Android: Go to Settings > Google > Ads and tap Delete advertising ID or Reset advertising ID.
- iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking to disable ad tracking permissions.
