Privacy Policy – Desi Prompt

Desi Prompt (“we”) provides the Desi Prompt Android app, listed on Google Play as Desi Prompt: AI Photo Ideas. This policy explains what information the app uses.

The app is a catalog of photo prompts. You can browse, search, copy a prompt, and like prompts. You can use it as a guest. Google sign-in is optional.

📱 Information Stored On Your Phone

• Guest mode: If you continue as a guest, we do not ask for your name or email address.
• Google Sign-In: If you sign in with Google, the app saves the name, email address, and profile photo Google shares with it. That information is stored on your phone so Settings can show it. We do not upload that profile to a Desi Prompt account on our servers.
• Preferences & Likes: Likes, your theme choice (light, dark, or system), and whether you have finished the intro are also stored directly on your phone.

⚡ Information Used To Run The App

• When you browse or search, the app requests the prompt catalog from our servers. Our hosting provider may process technical data, such as an IP address, to deliver those requests. We do not use that data to build a profile of you.
• The app may show ads through Google AdMob. Google may use an advertising identifier and similar data under Google’s own policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• The app may check our servers for the latest version so it can tell you when an update is available.

🛠️ How We Use Information

We use this information to show the catalog, remember likes and appearance settings on your phone, show your name after Google sign-in, show ads, and offer app updates.

We do not sell your personal information.

🤝 Sharing

We do not share your Google profile or likes with other users. Prompt text you copy stays in your clipboard until you paste it somewhere else. If you paste a prompt into ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, Flux, or another tool, that service’s own terms and privacy policy apply.

Google processes sign-in and ads. Our hosting provider processes catalog requests.

⏳ How Long Information Is Kept

Profile details, likes, and settings remain on your phone until you sign out, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall Desi Prompt. Signing out removes the saved Google name, email, and photo from the app. Clearing storage or uninstalling also removes likes and settings stored by the app.

We do not keep a separate Desi Prompt user account on our servers.

⚙️ Your Choices

You can use the app as a guest. You can sign out in Settings. You can remove everything the app stored by clearing its storage in Android Settings, or by uninstalling it. You can limit ad personalization in your Android settings.

👶 Children

Desi Prompt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

📝 Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version on this page.
